This movie is fun, especially for those who find a lot of the
circulating conspiracy theories very intriguing. My one thought through
this entire film was: I wonder if Alex Jones has seen this movie and
if so, what did he think? The way it was shot reminded me of The Blair Witch. I
would rather rent this movie than buy it. It was fun for a lazy
Saturday afternoon.... and who knows, maybe the conspiracies are all

The Conjuring is a 2013 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Ed and Lorraine Warren who were American paranormal investigators and authors associated with prominent cases of haunting. Their reports inspired the Amityville Horror. The Warrens come to the assistance of the Perron family (Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor), who are experiencing increasingly disturbing events in their farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island in 1971. The Conjuring was released in the United States and Canada on
July 19, 2013, and in the United Kingdom and India on August 6, 2013.
The film has received positive reviews from film critics, and has also
been praised by audiences. The film was also a box-office success,

Plot
In 1971, Roger and Carolyn move into a dilapidated farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island
with their five daughters. During the first day, their move goes
smoothly, though their dog, Sadie, refuses to enter the house and one of
the daughters finds a boarded up entrance to a cellar. The next morning, Carolyn wakes up with a mysterious bruise and finds
Sadie lying dead outside the house. Over the next several days, various
instances of paranormal disturbance occur, one of which is Carolyn
noticing all clocks in the house stop at exactly 3:07. The activity
culminates one night while Roger is away in Florida. After hearing
various clapping, giggling, and seeing the picture frames shattered on
the stairs, Carolyn is locked up in the cellar. Right after this, Cindy
is awakened after sleepwalking into Andrea's room and is horrified when
she sees a spirit at the top of a wardrobe in the room, who attacks
Andrea. Carolyn contacts noted paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren for help. The Warrens conduct an initial investigation and conclude that the house may require an exorcism, but they needed authorization from the Catholic Church and further evidence before that. While researching the history of the house, Ed and Lorraine discover
that the house once belonged to an accused witch, Bathsheba, who tried
to sacrifice her children to the devil and killed herself in 1863 after
cursing all who would take her land. The property was once 200+ acres
but has since been divided up into smaller parcels. They find reports of
numerous murders and suicides in houses that have since been built upon
parcels that were once part of the property. Ed and Lorraine return to the house in an attempt to gather evidence
to receive authorization for an exorcism. Cindy sleepwalks into Andrea's
room once again and reveals a secret passage behind a wardrobe.
Lorraine enters the passage and falls through the floorboards into the
cellar, where she sees the spirit of a woman whom Bathsheba had long ago
possessed and used to kill her child. Another of the Perron children,
Nancy, is violently dragged by her hair along the floor by an unseen
force. The Perron family decides to take refuge at a hotel while Ed and
Lorraine take their evidence to the Church to organize an exorcism.
While the Warrens were on their way home, their daughter is attacked in
their own home by the spirit of Bathsheba, though Ed arrives in time to
prevent her from getting harmed. Carolyn, who was earlier possessed by the spirit of Bathsheba, takes
two of her daughters, Christine and April, and drives back to the house.
Ed, Lorraine, two of their assistants and Roger rush to the house where
they find Carolyn trying to stab Christine with the shears. After
subduing Carolyn, Ed decides to perform the exorcism himself, though
Carolyn escapes and again attempts to kill April. Lorraine is able to
temporarily distract the possessed Carolyn from killing her daughter by
reminding her of a special memory she shared with her family, allowing
Ed to complete the exorcism, saving Carolyn and her daughter. Returning home, Lorraine tells Ed that the priest who they sought for
the exorcism had called back and left a message, saying that he had
gained approval from the Catholic Church to perform it. In addition to
this, he also has another case for them to investigate on Long Island.

Star Trek Into Darkness is a 2013 American science fiction action film. It is the twelfth installment in the Star Trek film franchise, and the sequel to 2009's Star Trek. The film was directed by J. J. Abrams from a screenplay by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof based on the series of the same name created by Gene Roddenberry. Lindelof, Orci, Kurtzman and Abrams are also producers, with Bryan Burk. Chris Pine reprises his role as Captain James T. Kirk, with Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, Leonard Nimoy, John Cho and Bruce Greenwood reprising their roles from the previous film. Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Weller and Alice Eve round out the film's principal cast. Plot
In 2259, the starship Enterprise is on a survey mission to the planet Nibiru, studying a primitive culture. Captain James T. Kirk and First Officer Spock attempt to save the planet's inhabitants from a volcanic eruption. When Spock's life is endangered, Kirk violates the Prime Directive in order to save him, exposing the Enterprise to the native inhabitants, a decision with which Spock disagrees. Returning to Earth, Kirk loses command of the Enterprise and Admiral Christopher Pike
is reinstated as its commanding officer. Pike manages to convince
Admiral Marcus to allow Kirk to continue as his first officer on the Enterprise, rather than being sent back to the Academy. Meanwhile, a secret Section 31 installation in London
is bombed by a renegade Starfleet officer, Commander John Harrison.
During a meeting of Starfleet commanders to discuss the situation,
Harrison attacks in a jumpship, killing Pike. Kirk disables the
jumpship, but Harrison uses a prototype portable transwarp transporter
device to escape to Kronos, the Klingon homeworld, knowing Starfleet would be unable to follow. Admiral Marcus orders the Enterprise to kill Harrison, arming them with 72 prototype photon torpedoes, shielded and untraceable to sensors. Chief engineer Montgomery Scott resigns his duties in protest when Kirk denies Scott's request to examine the weapons for safety reasons. Pavel Chekov is promoted in his stead and Dr. Carol Wallace, a weapons specialist, joins the crew. Spock, Dr. Leonard McCoy and Uhura convince Kirk it would be better to capture Harrison and return him to Earth for trial, rather than killing him. En route, the Enterprise suffers an unexpected coolant leak in the warp core, disabling the ship's warp capabilities. Kirk leads a deniable operation
to Kronos in a confiscated civilian vessel. Approaching Harrison's
location, they are ambushed by Klingon patrols. Harrison easily
dispatches the Klingons, then unexpectedly surrenders after learning the
exact number of torpedoes locked on his location. On the Enterprise,
Wallace is revealed as Dr. Carol Marcus, the Admiral's daughter, who
along with Dr. McCoy, opens a torpedo at the behest of Harrison,
revealing a man in cryogenic stasis. Harrison reveals his true identity
as Khan, a genetically engineered superhuman awoken by Marcus from a 300-year suspended animation.
Khan reveals his crew was held hostage by Marcus to force him to
develop weapons and warships for Starfleet in preparation for a war
between the Federation and the Klingons. Khan attempted to smuggle his
crew out in the torpedoes he had designed, but was discovered. Believing
Marcus had killed his crew, he instigated his attacks to avenge his
family. Khan reveals Marcus had sabotaged the Enterprise's warp drive, intending for the Klingons to destroy the ship after firing the torpedoes at Kronos, giving him a casus belli for war. Acting on information from Khan, Kirk asks Scott to investigate a set of coordinates within the Solar System. The Enterprise is intercepted by a larger Federation warship, the USS Vengeance under the command of Marcus. Marcus demands that Kirk deliver Khan, but Kirk refuses. The Enterprise, with a hastily repaired warp drive, flees to Earth in order to report Marcus, however the Vengeance
intercepts and disables it. Kirk offers to exchange Khan and the
cryogenic pods in exchange for sparing the lives of his crew. Marcus
refuses, transporting Carol Marcus to the Vengeance and ordering the Enterprise's destruction. The Vengeance
suddenly loses power, having been sabotaged by Scott, who discovered
and infiltrated the ship during his investigation. With the transporters
down, Kirk and Khan, with the latter's knowledge of the warship's
design, space-jump to the Vengeance. Meanwhile, Spock contacts
his older self on New Vulcan, who informs him that Khan cannot be
trusted. After capturing the bridge, Khan overpowers Kirk, Scott and
Carol, killing Admiral Marcus and seizing control of the Vengeance. Khan demands from Spock the return of his crew in exchange for the three Enterprise
officers. Spock complies, but surreptitiously removes Khan's frozen
crew and arms the warheads. Khan betrays their agreement, crippling the Enterprise, however the Vengeance
is in turn disabled following the detonation of the torpedoes. With
both starships powerless and caught in Earth's gravity, they begin to
fall toward the surface. Kirk sacrifices himself by entering the
radioactive reactor chamber to realign the warp core, saving the ship.
Kirk succumbs to radiation poisoning and dies, throwing Spock into a
grief-stricken rage. In one last act of defiance, Khan crashes the Vengeance into San Francisco to destroy Starfleet headquarters. Fleeing the scene, Spock transports down in pursuit. While experimenting on a dead tribble,
McCoy discovers that Khan's blood has regenerative properties that may
save Kirk. Spock, with Uhura's help, manages to subdue and capture Khan,
and Kirk is revived. One year later, Kirk addresses a gathering
memorializing the events, where he recites the "where no man has gone before"
monologue. Khan is resealed in his cryogenic pod and stored with his
crew, while Carol Marcus joins the crew of a recommissioned Enterprise, as it departs on a five-year exploratory mission.

Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron, or simply The Avengers: Age of Ultron, is an upcoming American superhero Film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. It is intended to be the sequel to 2012's Marvel's The Avengers and the eleventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is set to be scripted and directed by Joss Whedon and to feature an ensemble cast including Robert Downey, Jr., and Mark Ruffalo. The Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.
The sequel was announced in May 2012, after the successful release of
the first film. Whedon was brought back on board in August 2012 and a
release date was set. By December, Whedon had completed an outline of
the script. Casting began in June 2013 with the re-signing of Downey,
Jr. The film is scheduled to begin principal photography in early 2014

Production
Development - In October 2011, producer Kevin Feige said during the New York Comic Con, "Iron Man 3 will be the first of what we sort of refer to as phase two of this saga that will culminate, God willing, in Avengers 2". In March 2012, Joss Whedon,
director of the first film, stated that he would want a sequel to be
"smaller. More personal. More painful. By being the next thing that
should happen to these characters, and not just a rehash of what seemed
to work the first time. By having a theme that is completely fresh and
organic to itself." At the premiere of The Avengers, Feige said the studio had an option for Whedon to return as director. In May 2012, after the successful release of the first film, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced a sequel was in development. Most of the film's cast members were under contract to potentially appear in the sequel; however, Robert Downey, Jr. was not, as his four picture deal with Marvel would expire after Iron Man 3.
At the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International, Joss Whedon said he was undecided about directing, stating, "I have not come to a decision on directing Avengers 2. I am having too much fun with this [Firefly reunion] now." However in August 2012, Iger announced that Whedon would return to
write and direct the sequel and develop a Marvel television series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., for ABC. Later in the month, Disney set a May 1, 2015 release date. Asked about his decision to return, Whedon said "Avengers 2,
it wasn’t a tough decision. For a long time I thought, 'Well, it’s just
not going to happen.' Then when I actually started to consider it, it
became so clear that I desperately wanted to say more about these
characters, it would’ve been an easy no and it was a spectacularly easy
yes. There was no wrestling." Whedon said that they intended for the film's production to not be as rushed as the first one. In a December 2012 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Whedon stated that he had completed an outline for the film.
In February 2013 at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, Whedon said that death would be a theme in the sequel. In March, Whedon said that he looked to The Empire Strikes Back and The Godfather Part II as inspirations. Also in March, Mark Ruffalo, who played the Hulk in The Avengers, tweeted that he will reprise the role in the sequel.
Pre-production - In April 2013, it was reported that filming was scheduled to begin in early 2014 at Shepperton Studios in England. At the Hollywood premiere of Iron Man 3, Whedon said that he completed a draft of the script, and had started the storyboard
process and to meet with actors. Whedon also mentioned that he wrote
with Downey in mind and included a "brother/sister act" from the comic
books. Entertainment Weekly reported that Whedon was referring to Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, which Whedon confirmed. During an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,
Whedon explained his rationale for including the characters in the
film: "Besides the fact that I grew up reading them, their powers are
very visually interesting," said Whedon. "One of the problems I had on
the first one was everybody basically had punchy powers...
[Quicksilver]’s got super speed. [Scarlet Witch] can weave spells and a
little telekinesis, get inside your head. There’s good stuff that they
can do that will help sort of keep it fresh."
In May 2013, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Downey was in negotiations to extend his contract with Marvel Studios and reprise his role as Iron Man in the film, as well as a third Avengers film. Also in May, the chairman of Cape Town Film Studios said that Marvel Studios was interested in shooting the film in Cape Town, South Africa. In June 2013, Variety reported that Aaron Taylor-Johnson had entered talks to play Quicksilver, which Taylor-Johnson confirmed in a July 2013 Collider interview. Later in the same month, Downey signed on to return as Iron Man for the film and The Avengers 3. Marvel also announced that filming was expected to begin in March 2014.
At the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, Whedon announced the film would be titled Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Despite the subtitle, the film is not based on the 2013 comic book miniseries Age of Ultron. Feige explained, "We came up with a few titles, but every month a new comic book appeared, and that's a great title. Age Of Ultron
is a great title. We had a few other 'Of Ultrons', but that was the
best one. So we're borrowing that title, but taking storylines from
decades of Avengers storylines." Whedon added, "We're doing our own version of the origin story of Ultron....We
were crafting our own version of it where [Ultron's] own origin comes
more directly from the Avengers we already know about. The other thing
is in the origin story there was Hank Pym (Henry Pym),
so a lot of people assumed he was going to be in the mix, but he's not.
We're basically taking the things from the comics for the movies that
we need and can use. A lot of stuff has to fall by the wayside." Whedon
also said the film would have a darker tone due to Ultron's involvement, and confirmed that Hawkeye and Black Widow would return.
Pacific Rim is a 2013 American science fiction Film directed by Guillermo del Toro, written by del Toro and Travis Beacham, and starring Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Rob Kazinsky, Max Martini, and Ron Perlman. The film is set in the 2020s, when Earth is under attack by Kaiju,
colossal monsters which have emerged from a portal on the ocean floor.
To combat the monsters, humanity unites to create the Jaegers: gigantic
humanoid mecha,
each controlled by two pilots whose minds are joined by a neural
bridge. Focusing on the war's later days, the story follows Raleigh
Becket, a washed-up Jaeger pilot called out of retirement and teamed
with rookie pilot Mako Mori in a last-ditch effort to defeat the Kaiju.
Del Toro envisioned Pacific Rim as an earnest, colorful
adventure story, with an "incredibly airy and light feel", in contrast
to the "super-brooding, super-dark, cynical summer movie". The director
focused on "big, beautiful, sophisticated visuals" and action that would
satisfy an adult audience, but has stated his "real hope" is to
introduce the kaiju and mecha genres to a generation of children. While the film draws heavily on these genres, it avoids direct
references to previous works. Del Toro intended to create something
original but "madly in love" with its influences, instilled with "epic
beauty" and "operatic grandeur".
The film is produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. It was released to generally positive reviews on July 12, 2013 including releases in 3-D and IMAX 3D.
In the near future, giant monsters identified as Kaijus have risen from a portal in a crevasse beneath the Pacific Ocean,
resulting in a war that takes millions of lives and quickly consumes
humanity's resources. To combat the monsters, a special type of weapon
is designed: massive, humanoid fighting machines,
known as Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots
whose minds are bound in a neural link which lets them share the mental
strain which would otherwise overwhelm a single pilot.
The Jaeger program is initially successful in fending off Kaiju
attacks and at first turns the tide of the war. However, over time,
Kaijus cross through the portal at a faster rate, with each new Kaiju
becoming increasingly well-adapted for fighting the Jaegers. As such,
the robots become less effective, causing the now-united governments of
Earth to lose faith in the Jaegers' ability to defend humanity. The
Jaeger program is terminated, with resources diverted to building the
"Wall of Life", a coastal fortification to protect Earth's cities. The
four remaining Jaegers are redeployed to Hong Kong to defend the
unfortified coastline until the wall can be completed. Stacker
Pentecost, commander of the Jaeger forces, devises a plan to end the war
with an illegally-acquired Russian nuclear warhead.
Pentecost approaches former pilot Raleigh Becket and convinces him to
return to the program. Becket and his brother Yancy had once been
pilots of Gipsy Danger and tasked with defending the Alaskan
coastline. During a mission, they ignored an order and engaged a Kaiju
directly. Yancy was killed while connected to his brother, traumatizing
Raleigh. Upon returning to the program, Raleigh undergoes a rigorous
process of testing to find a new co-pilot, since the stronger the
connection between two pilots, the better their performance in battle.
Raleigh demands to be partnered with Mako Mori, a test pilot whose
participation Pentecost opposes, as Mako is his adoptive daughter. He
eventually relents and allows her to partner Raleigh. The duo's initial
test run nearly ends in disaster when Mako gets caught up in a childhood
memory of a Kaiju attack; she inadvertently activates and nearly
discharges Gipsy Danger's
plasma cannon while in the hangar. The duo are withdrawn from the field
indefinitely as the remaining Jaegers are tasked with fending off a
double Kaiju attack. The defense of Hong Kong goes poorly, with the
Kaijus quickly destroying two Jaegers and disabling a third. Pentecost
has no choice but to authorize Raleigh and Mako to mount a last stand,
and the duo drive off the assault.
Meanwhile, Dr. Newton Geizler—a scientist studying the
Kaijus—assembles a machine allowing him to establish a mental link with a
Kaiju brain fragment in the way Jaeger pilots connect with one another.
The experience nearly kills him, but he discovers the Kaijus are
actually artificial weapons sent to Earth as an invading force to allow
their masters to colonize the planet. With Pentecost's approval, he
seeks out Hannibal Chau, a major figure in the trade of illegal Kaiju
parts, in an attempt to get a new Kaiju brain to repeat the experiment.
Chau criticizes Geizler's foolishness in merging with the Kaiju brain,
as he has now attracted their attention, and the Kaiju attacking Hong
Kong are specifically seeking him. After Gipsy Danger kills the
Kaijus attacking the city, Chau and his crew of poachers move in to
harvest parts. Geizler realizes, too late, that the Kaiju is female and
is pregnant. Chau and his crew are attacked by the newborn Kaiju, which
is unable to survive outside the womb and dies after eating Chau and
being strangled by its own umbilical cord. Geizler and his skeptical
colleague Hermann Gottlieb merge with the baby Kaiju's intact brain,
where they discover the secret controlling the flow of Kaijus through
the portal.
The Jaeger forces reassemble, planning to use the nuclear warhead to
destroy the portal. Pentecost, revealed to have been one of the original
Jaeger pilots, takes command of Striker Eureka as Herc Hansen,
one of its usual pilots was injured during the defense of Hong Kong.
Pentecost and Herc's son, Chuck, Striker Eureka's other pilot, ventures
out into the ocean depths, with Raleigh and Mako supporting him aboard Gipsy Danger.
Geizler and Gottleib inform them that the portal has a fail-safe system
to control the passage of Kaijus, and will only allow them to enter if
they can mimic a Kaiju's genetic code. Before they can process this
information, they are attacked by a trio of Kaijus, including the
largest monster in recorded history. Pentecost detonates the warhead,
destroying his Jaeger and sacrificing himself and Chuck along with it,
in order to kill the remaining Kaijus guarding the portal. Raleigh and
Mako seize a Kaiju's corpse and use it to pass through the portal,
intending to overload Gipsy Danger's
nuclear reactor to use it as an improvised bomb. With the Jaeger
critically damaged by the fight, Raleigh ejects Mako and manually
overrides Gipsy Danger's safety protocols before ejecting himself. Gipsy Danger
detonates on the other side of the portal, destroying it and the alien
commanders, as the two pilots emerge safely on the sea's surface.
In a post-credits scene, Chau—revealed to have survived—cuts his way out of the baby Kaiju's stomach.

Burn Gorman as Dr. Hermann Gottlieb, A scientist studying the Kaijus alongside Geizler. According to del Toro, Gottlieb is a "tweed-wearing, English, phlegmatic
introvert that never leaves the lab". The modest Gottlieb resents
Geizler's arrogance and radical behavior; the duo echo the film's theme
of incompatible people functioning together when the time comes.

Ellen McLain as Jaeger AI, The voice of the Jaegers' artificial intelligence system. Del Toro secured permission from Valve Corporation to cast McLain in homage to GLaDOS, her homicidal AI character in the Portal video games. The director stated: "It was clear to me that we needed something
beautiful in that voice. My daughter is my wingman, we had done co-op on
Portal 2 for a long time and I did Portal 1
when it came out. It becomes ingrained in you, that voice. I didn't
want to use her as a negative force of evil. I called Valve and asked
'Can you give us the filter?' so we went full GLaDOS for the first
commercial, but I thought it was too much. If you're a gamer, it's too
distracting so we created our own GLaDOS 2.0 filter that's a little less
full-on."

Release
Pacific Rim was initially expected to reach theaters in July
2012. However, Warner Bros. decided to move the film's release date back
to May 10, 2013. In March 2012, it was announced that the film would be
released on July 12, 2013.
Box Office
As of July 14, 2013, Pacific Rim has grossed $38,300,000 in North America, and $53,000,000 in other countries, for a worldwide total of $91,300,000.
The film opened to #3 in its first weekend, with $38,300,000, behind Despicable Me 2 and Grown Ups 2.
Potential Sequel
In July 2012, del Toro discussed the possibility of making a Pacific Rim
sequel. "We always leave ideas that were in the first draft as you go
along. You know, either a set piece that was great but too expensive, an
idea that was really bright, but it couldn't quite fit the structure...
so we have a little stash of stuff we wanted to do that we didn't get
to do. So if that's a possibility, A) I would be very happy to do a
sequel, but B) a lot of these ideas, set pieces and all that, actually
have in them a really good seed for a sequel."
On December 4, 2012, Legendary Pictures announced that it had selected Pacific Rim
co-writer Travis Beacham to write the sequel, along with del Toro,
though there was no comment as to whether del Toro would return to
direct the second film.
At WonderCon 2013, del Toro expressed enthusiasm for a potential crossover between Pacific Rim and Godzilla—another Legendary Pictures kaiju film—but stressed that no such plans were in place.
In July 2013, del Toro discussed the sequel, stating: "The main idea
that we're bouncing off is the fact that Newt drifted with a Kaiju
brain, and all Kaiju brains are connected. We say that. They are like a
hive mentality. So, you know, draw your own conclusions." The director has also stated the sequel will feature "Gipsy 2.0", as well as a "merging of Kaiju and Jaeger".
